Internal fire hydrants (hose reel and hose cabinet systems) provide a first-response firefighting water supply inside buildings, ready for use by occupants or the fire brigade before or alongside sprinkler protection. Arcofire supplies internal hydrant cabinets manufactured by leading European producers, engineered to EN 671-1 (hose reels with semi-rigid hose) and EN 671-2 (hydrants with lay-flat hose), and fitted with hydrant valves, nozzles and cabinets tested to the relevant EN standards.
Hydrant Types • DN25 - semi-rigid hose reel, 20 or 30 m, for light and moderate hazard occupancies (offices, retail, residential) • DN33 - semi-rigid hose reel, 20 or 30 m, higher flow for larger or higher-risk premises • DN52 - constant-flow hydrant with lay-flat hose, 20 m, for industrial and high-hazard applications, engineered to EN 671-2 / EN 14540
Cabinets Cabinets are manufactured from powder-coated steel sheet, available in standard signal red (RAL 3000) or white (RAL 9003), with custom RAL colours available on request. Stainless steel (304 or 316L) cabinets are available for corrosive or aesthetic-sensitive environments. Cabinets are supplied in surface-mounted (wall-hung) or recessed versions, with a 180-degree opening door, patent lock or keyless twist-lock, and optional space for a portable fire extinguisher beside or below the hose reel. Typical cabinet dimensions range from approximately 700 x 800 mm (DN25) up to 800 x 1100 mm (DN52), with a depth of around 250 mm.
Hose and Nozzle Hoses are semi-rigid (DN25/DN33) or lay-flat (DN52) type, tested to EN 694 / EN 14540, in 20 m or 30 m lengths. Nozzles produce a dispersed conical spray (minimum 45 degrees) or a compact jet, selectable at the nozzle, and are fitted according to EN 671-1 / EN 671-2. Typical working pressure is 0.2-0.7 MPa (up to 2.5 MPa for specially engineered high-pressure versions).
