Wet pipe sprinkler systems are not immune to corrosion: trapped air pockets at high points in the pipework sit at the air-water interface, and the oxygen in that trapped air drives the same corrosion mechanism found in dry systems. The Potter AquaN2 kit is designed to quickly and effectively exhaust this oxygenated air and replace it with high-purity nitrogen.

How it works The kit comprises a Nitrogen Injection Manifold (NIM), installed just above the riser, and a Quick X-Haust Manifold (QXM), installed on the remote test drain valve. Used together with a Potter Automatic Air Release (PAAR-B) or Potter Air Vent (PAV) fitted at the point furthest from the riser, and a nitrogen source, the kit removes up to 99.9% of oxygen from a wet system. Because it removes trapped air rather than just displacing it, the kit also improves waterflow detector performance, eliminating delayed or cyclic activation of vane-type flow switches caused by trapped air pockets.

Installation is fast, with no need to take the sprinkler system out of service for an extended period.

Not for use with plastic pipe systems.
